Laureate Institute is made up of a combination of two institutions, LAURATE BUSINESS COLLEGE (LBC) BAMENDA & LAUREATE HIGHER INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (LAHIBA) BAMENDA.
LAHIBA UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE
Laureate Higher Institute of Business Administration (LAHIBA) Bamenda is one of the institutions of higher education learning in the city of Bamenda given birth to by Laurate Business College (LBC) Bamenda in the year 2014.
This prestigious institution was created by the vote of the national commision of the Ministry of Higher Education on the 25th July 2013 following Minsterial Decision No: 13 / 0400 / MINESUP / SG / DDES / of 10th September 2013. It's foundation was laid some 10 years ago since 2005 by it's mother institution, LAURATE BUSINESS COLLEGE BAMENDA. LAHIBA'S final authorization was granted 7 months later in 2014 following Ministerial Decision No: 14 / 01324 / L / MINESUP / SG / DDES / ESUP / SDA / OAGS of 11th March 201 of the Ministry of HIGHER EDUCATION. Since then the institution has signed a series of memorandum of understanding and Specific partnership agreement with the UNIVERSITY OF BAMENDA (UBa).
LAURATE BUSINESS COLLEGE
Laurate Business College (LBC) was created in 2006, a transformation from a computer institute to a business college. LBC has as main objective to align with the government's vision to solve unemployment among youths by providing 21st centuary sustainable professional training in disciplines relevant to the corporate world such as computer operator, database management, programming, buisiness management, web development and more. Most of our graduates are self employed or employed in government, private, or humanitarian organsiations. As one of the first instutition or vocational training in the North West Region of Cameroon, LBC is approved by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training Decision No. 0008/MINEFOP/SG/DFOP/SDGSF/SACD and wards Professional Diploma in Full-Time Courses.
